Coldplay to Open Seattle Climate Pledge Arena | New
SEATTLE, September 7, 2021 / PRNewswire / – After months of speculation, Climate Pledge Arena is delighted to announce that its first opening act will be the seven-time Grammy winner Coldplay.
A dazzling rooftop light show revealed the group will perform their first arena show in nearly five years on Friday 22 October officially open that of Seattle new home of live music and events. The show takes place exactly one week after the release of Coldplay’s highly anticipated ninth album, Music Of The Spheres, which is released. October 15 (and available for pre-order at cldp.ly/MOTS). The concert will be produced by Live Nation.
Support will come from Grammy-nominated twin sisters, We Are KING, who also feature on the band’s upcoming album.
Tickets go on sale on Wednesday September 15th To 10:00 a.m. PST for this unique concert. Amazon Music is also bringing the show to fans around the world via live streaming on Prime Video for all customers with or without a Prime subscription; on Twitch; and on the Amazon Music app.
In june 2020, Amazon secured the naming rights to the arena and chose to call it Climate Pledge Arena to regularly remind people of the urgent need for climate action. The arena will be the first net Zero Carbon certified arena in the world running on 100% renewable energy. It will also be a functionally zero waste building from day one and phase out all single-use plastics by 2024.

This event will also use the Ticketmaster Verified Fan platform. Fans can register HERE now through Sunday 12 September To 9 a.m. PT. Registered fans who receive a code will have access to purchasing tickets before the general public on Tuesday September 14 of 12 p.m. PT through 11 p.m. PT.

The concert will be the first public performance at the Climate Pledge Arena as part of a week-long opening celebration across the Seattle Center Campus. Other opening week festivities include:
