Hybrid Cloud Adoption Gives Businesses a Distinctive Advantage, Infosys Says
Management professionals at the strategic and executive levels are seemingly endlessly looking for additional income generators. These areas have proven themselves time and time again as effective means of pushing the boundaries of profit, market penetration and business expansion.
Hybrid cloud has been identified as one such area – a forward-looking approach to managing and analyzing business data. He’s also the star of this year’s HPE Discover event.
“If you look around, the hybrid cloud has been the new normal, ”said Saju Sankarankutty (right photo), CTO, Cloud Advisory, and VP of Hybrid Cloud, Engineering, Platforms and Automation at Infosys Ltd. “The private cloud is becoming an essential element component to host applications. These are more applications that have low latency requirements, regulatory requirements, or static infrastructure demand.
Sankarakutty and Umashankar Lakshmipathie (pictured left), Senior Vice President and Regional Head of EMEA at Infosys, spoke with Lisa Martin, host of theCUBE, the live streaming studio of SiliconANGLE Media, at the HPE Discover event. They discussed current trends around hybrid cloud, its state of play, and business adoption metrics. (* Disclosure below.)
A boon for the company
A recent Infosys survey of companies based in the United States and Central America yielded some interesting results:
“When we looked at what our customers and businesses were able to recover and get out of the whole cloud adoption movement, we came up with a number $ 414 billion in profits that businesses can make using this cloud adoption. This is what we saw in this survey that we conducted with our customers ”, Lakshmipathie explained.
Over $ 400 billion may not seem like much on a larger scale. However, when you consider that the survey covered only a small portion of companies in one region of the world, it is clear that the potential benefits that companies could derive from implementing hybrid cloud infrastructure are immense. , according to the duo.
