Piers Morgan pledges to ‘buy 1000 Big Macs’ after veggie blockade at McDonalds
Piers Morgan promises to “buy 1000 Big Macs” after the blockade of vegans at McDonalds.
Piers Morgan promises to “ buy 1000 Big Macs, ” in an effort to prevent vegan protests at McDonald’s.
UK hamburger chain McDonald’s saw its supplies cut off after vegans protested and Piers hit back at the protests by saying he wanted to buy 1,000 Big Macs.
Over the weekend, Animal Rebellion protesters used bamboo structures and vehicles to disrupt McDonald’s supply chain and prevent distribution trucks from leaving depots across the country. Supply chains have been disrupted in Greater Manchester, Hampshire, Hertfordshire and the West Midlands. The police even had to witness several incidents because of the protesters.
Animal Rebellion has very high hopes and has encouraged McDonald’s to make a commitment to go completely plant-based by 2025.
Piers fired back however and, and on a headline saying “Vegan Extremists Block McDonalds for Second Day in a Row” he commented, “Makes me want to buy 1,000 Big Macs tomorrow.”
Many millions of Piers fans agreed with his comments and one said, “Vegan food is wonderful Piers, especially when paired with a sirloin steak.
Another fan commented: “I respect their right to be vegan, but they should respect mine to like a McChicken Sandwich, that’s right.”
McDonald’s offers a vegetarian option, but the Vegetable Deluxe is not suitable for vegans because the sauce contains eggs. They have other vegan options such as hash browns, carrot sticks and bags of fruit and of course chips. It is claimed that McDonald’s intends to bring a vegan burger at some point in the future.
